An Overdue

Ladies Night Out

“Friendship is born at that moment when one man says to another:
"What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . ."”
C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves

Ahhh yes!!
Ladies Night Out!!

Love it, Love it, Love it.

We were a small crowd this time around.
But sometimes that's the best way.

Every lady needs a night out.
And when you can drag a couple of friends out too,
Well then, you have yourself an evening.

These girls and I go a long way back.
Waaaaaaay back to kindergarten.
It's nice like that.
There's no need to explain every person you know,
b/c they know them too.

Every so often we get together and play catch up.
Rehash old memories and make a few new ones.
This time was shopping, dinner and drinks.
Perfect.

The destination: The Little Apple
The forecast:  Snow.
And potentially lots of it.
But these girls??
Slowed down by a mere snowstorm.
No, no, no.
Mr. Weatherman you picked the wrong girls to try
and spoil Ladies Night.
Get your snowboots----
We goin' anyway folks!

I'll keep the tawdry gossip to myself and leave you to the pictures.

You get the gist.

First a little playful shopping.
We were suppose to be finding dresses
for our children's first Communion.
Then this little jumper was hanging on the rack.
And 'What the he**' popped into my mind.

Somebody stayed a little closer to the actual mission.
Points for the playful pose though. :)

Drinks at Umi Steakhouse.
First timer.

This....
may be one of my favorite picture sequences ever.
The food throwing sequence. :)
(My apologies Katie and Stacy)

(Mine wound up square on my forehead and down my shirt.
The benefit of holding the camera is that there is no photo record to speak of.)
:)

If you can recognize this bar merely by this picture, then you and I could be good friends too.  Let's go out sometime!!

And then the two hour drive home that should
have taken one hour.
We had to look for the patches of grass in some spots
to determine where the sides of the roads were.
But it was worth it!!

Until next time ladies!!
